Vector Research's scientific, random sample of 400 employees was drawn from membership lists of NSNU, CUPE, NSGEU and NSTU, representing 43,000 public employees in Nova Scotia.

Among its findings, the poll showed that fewer than one in six workers knew that Nova Scotia has no legislation to deal with violence or harassment in the workplace. Nine out of 10 of those polled say there is no excuse for violence at work.
