It's a serious wide-spread problem
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the Coalition Against Workplace Violence campaign.
Workplace violence goes well beyond physical assault. In fact, according to the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS), any act in which a person is abused, threatened, intimidated or assaulted in his or her employment is workplace violence.
If you're a worker in Nova Scotia, you are not specifically protected from workplace violence.
Draft Regulations, developed jointly by labour and management representatives, have sat on a shelf now for over 10 years.
The Coalition Against Workplace Violence is lobbying the provincial government for a zero tolerance policy for violence in the workplace, no matter what form it takes.
We need your help to put pressure on the provincial government to adopt and enforce the Workplace Violence regulations into legislation.
